A little trip...

Yesterday we went on a trip to Historic Oak View Park!  It was wonderful, minus the fact that the temperature dropped 10 degrees while we were there and I had damp children hanging off of me on the walk back to the bus.  The kiddos got to pick their cotton and they thought they were très cool.  I even snagged a pic!

Today the kiddos, already experts at odd and even numbers, put together an odd an even street.  I'm sure you've seen these all of Pinterest.  My kids were each given a "property deed" and they had to figure out which plot was theirs and decorate it.  To throw in a little number sense, the kids used hundreds blocks, tens sticks, and ones cubes to build their house but they had to match their pieces to their house numbers.  Always trying to keep them on their toes!  Here is my favorite house!  He called it a Birthday House!  So sweet.

I'll put up a picture of the whole thing tomorrow!  I had the best pick me up while they were doing this because I told the kids that they looked cute as pie and one little boy said "No Ms. Dunning, you're cute as pie!"  Melt my heart!!!

Hope you all are as excited about the holiday season as I am!

Function Tables

I've been awful about posting!  I'm back at it with a new commitment, promise!  I just posted a new product on my TPT page.  We are currently working on adding and subtracting mentally up to 20, Common Core.  Kids can use the function tables to practice.  I've put these in a math tub in my class. Click on the link below to check it out!

Sundays are so bittersweet....  Who else is excited that the leaves are getting crunchier by the day?
I'm off to celebrate a friend's birthday tonight!

Teachers Pay Teachers

I'm officially out in the digital teacher world!  I've posted my first free product to Teachers Pay Teachers.  My school goes on LOTS of field trips and I'm always wanting the kids to connect our trips to the classroom.  I use this reflection a lot and keep them for the kids to reflect back on at a later time.  I hope you find the reflection useful!
